Teach a Man to Fish, and you Feed Him for a Lifetime.” is clear: providing temporary assistance only solves immediate problems, while teaching skills and knowledge empowers individuals beyond measure. By teaching someone a new skill and providing the tools they need with a platform to grow, they become self-reliant, empowered and energized to make more significant impacts.
This method benefits not only the individual but also their community and society as a whole. “Teach a Man to Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime” reminds us that providing short-term assistance to those in need is insufficient. Instead, we must strive to empower individuals by teaching them new skills and knowledge so that they can create a better future for themselves and those around them.
When you lead with your heart first, things inevitably fall into place like a beautiful puzzle, and that’s precisely what happened to me since I relaunched my business in October 2022. My first thought was to create a simple package that was quick to set up, fast to launch and hopefully gave the business owners I work with a strong starting point online; along with this, however, offered separately was a mentorship program which would allow me to lead them by example and teach them the best of my experiences during the last 30 years in the industry.
